Hey Lonnie,

I am still learning a lot about it. I also don't use it a lot but I am beginning to understand the power of it.

I agree with your comments about Twitter Getter.

As far as Twitter itself goes, I haven't really figured it out yet. I do leave information there from time to time.

I am sure I miss a lot. With just the few followers that leave comments, the messages come across and are gone faster then I am able to keep up with.

I have to concur with Mike and Doug. If you use Twitter to start up some relationships, it can be a real benefit...these people will start following you and as long as you are 'tweeting' a couple of times a day, some of these people will retweet you. Then when their followers see something from you, there is the potential to add another follower.

Pretty interesting concept.

Great info. Keep up the good work.

Ron

Hi, Andre!

Twitter is a powerful animal, and a lot depends on how you want to use it. For true community-building, simply read and respond to as many tweets as you can help on, and that your available time allows.

For some, they want the large following so as to bolster their credentials elsewhere. For others, they just get carried away with how many they follow. But make no mistake - few read more than 20 or 30 'tweeple' a day, so having 1,000's of followers or following 1,000's really means nothing.

It all comes down to how many people do you interact with on Twitter each day - that's the only number that matters.

So true Mike, I like that personal interaction that you can develop with your contacts. It makes it all so much more personal and enjoyable.

It's interesting to see how much people flock to new things and start creating product/services for it. Twitter is still new, I'm not sure if I would want to spend the time and money creating a new service for it until it was a bit older.

Well the real power in Twitter isn't in numbers but relationships. Same as with your blog or any other social media it is the relationships you build with them that is the true value.

Yeah Audrey, I would not go as far as calling it an mlm business but I could see why you might say that. I also have not gotten a big following from it.

I signed up for it too, although I was really on the fence about it. I was just too curious. I may have gotten a few followers, but not enough to notice a difference from any other day. I thought well, if everyone begins following everyone, what kind of conversation will that be?
I think that the program benefited the few on the top of the list like some kind of mlm business.
