PLR is a fantastic resource, but as most people here have already stated, it is essential that you re-write it.

This makes your content unique and will give you an immediate advantage in the search engines.

Once you re-write your PLR articles (or ebooks) a few times it really does become much easier.

It should come as no surprise to know that the quality of writing is immaterial to me when I buy PLR products - the quality of the research and information presented is what counts.
