It took me a while to find a mentor. Once I did, I began to make significantly more progress. In my case I gained not just a mentor but an associated group of others, like an informal master mind group. It allowed me to overcome hurdles I might not have attempted, and gave me a resource to bring issues and problems I encountered.

We all try to do things on our own when first starting out. It's only after you find a mentor/coach that you can move to the next levels faster. It's a very important piece of the puzzle

You bring up a good point, that I think everyone should have a mentor/coach, but probably even several of them. Several people who they can learn from and who can help them grow, even if they are just friends.

Finding a coach really depends on finding someone that is doing what you want and having a personality that meshes. Not always an easy thing to find.

The biggest advantages to a mentor or coach are being guided to avoid the common pitfalls, being shown what works best RIGHT NOW, and the shortened timeline to your income horizon. While the outlay is steep for the best, the benefits run deep and the faster and higher income can make it up in a short timeframe.
