Was 2008 As Good For You As It Was…

Here we are about to complete the first week of the new year. We as Internet Marketers have set our sights ahead for the coming year. Plans are in place, blueprints have been put in place and we are ready to go.

But, I have one last lingering question for you? Did you do as well as you wanted last year with your online business? Did you meet all of your goals and can say without a doubt that it was a good year.

I would say for the most part most of you did. You are pumped up and full of life just waiting to take on the world for this year.

I would like to say that I am one of them. I did make some progress, learned to do websites, got a better understanding of Adsense, got a few blogs set up and even started masterminding with a good group of fellow marketers who I have learned a lot from. Even made some money.

But there could have been more. I wanted to set myself up to have an online  business where I could work from home. It is coming but it is not quite there yet.

I wanted to show some new marketers how to set up their online business but I feel like I need to learn more. I have shown them a few things but there is so much more!

You see there are a whole lot more things I think we can all look at to see if we “left some money and ideas on the table”.

Now I don’t think the big guys, the so-called marketing guru’s,  will concern themselves with this. If there was something that they feel was not done properly they will work to improve that part of their business.

But what about you and I. I think we need to sit and evaluate what we did right and what we did wrong last year. Maybe write it all down and compare what we did and what we wanted to do.

Then let’s write out plan as to how we want to improve on the bad and the good. Yes, even the good. There must have been things we did right that we can improve on.

And the bad things well that, we really want to look at. Were our expectations to high, did we not put the full effort into it and how do we fix it? There are probably more things to add but you get the point.

These are just a few things I have thought about looking back on 2008. Now I want you to do a thorough job in researching this but do not want to forget to look forward and remember we have a new year to implement these and other changes to make this year, 2009, bigger and better.
