I was having a conversation with my elementary school daughter the other day. We were discussing some of her Math homework and I was trying to explain a problem to her. Now I am no math whiz but I held my own in school with math and really enjoyed the subject.
I must preface this by saying that she is an exceptional student, and I am not saying that because I am her dad, and she takes after her mother. My daughter is in one of those accelerated programs in our school district for gifted kids and she performs quite well. Ah, I digress.
In trying to explain a simple problem to her she would just nod her head and say I know dad, I know. Don’t you just hate that from your kids, the little know it alls. Can you relate to that? Well, at that point there was no point in trying to explain anymore as she was not going to listen.
My point in all this is, are you like that? When you need to learn something new in your Internet Marketing business or any business and you have one of the leaders in that field or someone who may know a little more than you, do you listen to what they have to say?
If you have a knowledgeable person, do you read “Guru”, who is willing to share what they know, can you listen and apply what they tell you? There are some of these leaders who will tell you all you really want to know, who want to help you as much as you are willing to take it. It is up to you to put that extra effort into it to get out what you want.
There are a lot of Guru’s out there who are willing to take your money and won’t offer you anymore than the package you pay for. I know, I have dealt with some of them. But there are also those who will go out of there way to show you just about anything they can to help you make it in this business.
And those are the people you really need to pay attention to. Open up your ears, clear the room so you can listen without distractions and take some notes. Do whatever it takes to listen and understand what they are trying to teach you.
Whatever you do don’t be like my daughter and think you are a know it all. It will take some time until she gets older but I will share one imprtant fact with her. You never stop learning and Knowledge IS Power.

Andre…great point!
Even though we say ‘we know’, the only way you are really going to know if you know, is to do it.
Pay attention to the guru’s and do the stuff they do, and when you get it right and are successful, then you can really say, I know.
Keep up the good work.

Good points. Deal with those that can help you and go out of their way.

Most of knowledge is experience and that takes time. Experience come with listening to others. What kids learn in school today is not what I learned. Not sure if the word computer existed….

Great post, Andre – unfortunately our post will be lost on those who won’t listen… But if even a few rethink their attitude after reading this, you’ve helped some people take a giant step forward online!

Always a student, always learning, but never afraid to offer help and advice.

Great tip Andre! I remember when I was a beginner hearing from certain “gurus” who were giving me tips and advice, it was very valuable advice. You can learn everything yourself as you go, but if others are willing to teach you, take it!

I already knew that
Great post Andre!
Yes, more people need to take note of your post because you make a great point.
We can, and should, always learn something. No one knows everything and we should all take the opportunity to learn from those who are willing to teach any and every chance we get.
I have been learning for the last 45 years and God willing, plan on learning for the next 45.

Great Advice Andre.
There is way too much to know about this internet marketing business for me to ever claim that I know it. I’ll have to be learning as long as I do it. Thanks for advice.
