When I am working a niche site, I search for keywords that appear to have less competition on use them as my article starting point. That way the focus of the article is on a keyword I have a better chance of ranking on,and the links to my main site have a chance to get rated on the keyword. I then post the article on my main site as well so that that keyword is represented on the site. That way I see article marketing as a game, and it helps give it definition and purpose beyond, I gotta write an article.

Andre,

I still struggle with ezines. Certainly it is no fun writing them. But it is important and Doug's Understanding Article Marketing is great tool with great tips and it helps me a lot.

Andre,
You are right on all of your points. Articles must contain good content. This content must be useful to the reader – and yours in this post certainly was/is.

As you stated articles must be written well – if only spell checkers could tell when I mean “to” verses “too”. In any case it is necessary to proofread before publishing.

I’m positivity looking for the rewarding part and hoping that the fun part will follow. Thanks.

Andre,

Great point on how to get ideas for articles. Go check out the directories and look for articles in the subject matter that you are going to be writing on.

Not only will you see what is there, but also the various author's writing styles and what they are using as headlines.

Keep up the great work.
