Affiliate marketing can be a great way for someone to get started who does not have a lot of money. You can use squidoo or hubpages to create some content and use these to promote affiliate products without having to have your own domain or know HTML. There are obviously more effective ways, but for someone just starting out with no money to invest this can at least be a good start. You make some great points.
