5 Ways To Help Your Affiliate Marketing Business

In my last post I tried to layout simply what Affiliate Marketing was. Affiliate Marketing really is a great way to get started on the internet. I would now like to give you 5 ways to help your Affiliate Marketing business.

Start with a very good website. Make sure you have some good links established and make sure you have a good affiliate program you are associated with. By that I mean you may want to have an established product that you are an affiliate for. Something that you know will sell well to start off.

Of course you want to make sure you have good hosting for your website. This is the place where your website will reside while on the internet. Consider it like your apartment complex where your apartment sits. You want a reliable host that you can count on being available for your customers.

You want a company that will be up most of the time because if your site is not seen you cannot make any money. I would have to go with Hostgator as my choice. They have been reliable for me and have always been able to answer or fix my questions or problems. They say they are up at least 99% of the time. I think it is higher but you get the point.

I would recommend going to Clickbank and checking out the Marketplace to see what kinds of good products you can find. With Clickbank you can look through a variety of products and services to find a product that will fit your niche. And it is easy to sign up for.

Most would rank this as the number one thing to assure success in your affiliate business. You must have an opt-in box and be gathering names and e-mail addresses at the least. And if you can tie it down to a specific niche you will get a more targeted list.

I am sure you have heard that the money is in the list. Well a good affiliate marketing program is also a good list building opportunity. And if you can get some opt-ins, give them good content and present them some free products, training or videos from time to time, while presenting them with good offers you could have yourself a responsive list. One which will look forward to your next e-mail with anticipation.

Now to make sure your message is going out to your new list you will need a way to communicate. A good way to get your message out is by using an autoresponder. You may not know what that is but I am sure you have signed up for something from some giveaway and they ask for your name and email address. And after a few days, maybe even the next day you get something from them.

That is an autoresponder. It is very effective in staying in touch with your list. You can send them out more free stuff, let them know about the latest events or new launches that may be happening. I use Aweber as my autoresponder but Get Response is another really good one.

All of these things are nothing if you are not providing good content on your website. Something that is going to make someone comeback and see what else you have to say or see what your website is all about. Your content needs to be fresh and preferably new. You should update it at least 2-3 times a week.

Daily would be better but that can be tough. But you should always be providing good information and sharing good products for your list. Make them depend on you to show them the right way. A good way to get good content is with PLR articles. There are many sites which contain some great information. Check out Easy Articles Pro. It will provide you with 100 new articles each month. More than enough to get you started.

These things will not guarantee you success as an affiliate marketer but will certainly get you started in the right direction. Be sure to check back as I explore other facets of affiliate marketing and how it can help you get started on the internet.

Affiliate Marketing is one of the most cost-effective and efficient forms of advertising. It is the concept of empowering other business websites and Internet users to market your business to a new user base.

It is the relationship between website owners and merchants whereby the merchant offers the website owner (affiliate) commission for linking to his/her merchant site. Affiliates send traffic to the merchant site through these affiliate links and the affiliate is rewarded each time a visitor converts to a sale (CPA) or lead (CPL).

Affiliate Marketing is a great situation for both the marketer and the affiliate. If they would work together, they can be an advantage to both. It is one of the most cost efficient methods to promote a business.

Businesses have always relied on special deals, revenue sharing and other barter arrangements to help sell merchandise, whether it’s an employee-discount program with partners or special deals for vendors that come at the expense of some of the advertising costs.

Twitter Watching The World And Watching Your Business

If you have been watching the news at all this week you have seen the uprising that has been occurring in Iran. With the current regime having to defend themselves from charges of an illegal election.

And with them not wanting the eyes of the world to see or interfere in their country they have tried to limit access to the media and the reporting from other countries. Turning off computers, taking down internet signals and connections. Limiting TV and radio coverage.

In times past this might have worked but a new era has emerged with the advent of Web 2.0 technologies. This could come in the form of MySpace, Facebook, Friend Feed and Ning just to name a few. But the one right now at the forefront is, you guessed it, Twitter.

I do remember just a few months ago when someone offered to buy Twitter for a boatload of money and they turned it down. People were saying these guys were crazy, what could they be thinking about. And then on top of that the economy went south. Boy, they were really laughed at then. They were going to learn their lesson.

Funny how a little time can change things, in a big way sometimes. I would say the Twitter boys are sitting up high right now. Every time you turn on the news, yes the news, you see Twitter’s name being mentioned. How they have helped to get the word out to the masses about the goings on in Iran and the people of Iran.

Okay, okay, get to the point. So what you say does that have to do with an Internet marketing blog. Well quite a bit. It shows you the power of a 140 character site and the effect it can have on the world. Now let’s take that a step further, what can it do for your business?

I would bet you a lot of your customers are using Twitter and have been for a while. Are you in contact with them and what exactly are you telling them about your business? What a great opportunity to talk to your followers and find out what they want or better yet ask them what they want.

If you are not using Twitter for your business you are missing out on a brilliant opportunity. Your followers/customers are right there for you. Tell them about yourself, what you can offer them. They will respond and tell you if what you have is for them. And there is a golden chance for you to not only have followers but you can build a list. What, list building on Twitter, maybe in another post.

Now notice, I did not say sell to them on Twitter. I said communicate with them There will be plenty of time when you can send them to your website or better yet share information with them. Let them get to know you. That will work so much better on Twitter.

And to assure you have the right followers who want to hear what you have to say, make sure you are giving them what they want. A way you can get a targeted audience that you can talk to and possibly sell to is to check out the Advanced Twitter Marketing System. Recovering From An Awesome Experience At JV Alert

Hello everybody. Glad to be back and blogging again. I am recovering from an Awesome experience at JV Alert. What a fabulous event that is put on by Ken McArthur and his staff. Kudos to all of them. It was a totally worthwhile event to attend. As I have written about in the past if you have never attended a live Internet Marketing event of any kind you must get yourself to one.

It was not as well attended as some I have heard about in the past. Ken mentioned that this may have been because of the economy. It was reported that a few of the other big name people who hold conferences around the country have reported the same thing. But though small in quantity it still was action packed with some good quality people.

This seemed to be more of a conference for people to meet, mingle and try to generate some joint venture (JV) opportunities. I am sure that that was the case as there was a lot of wheeling and dealing behind the scene. But the people there were enthusiastic and there to share their knowledge.

I saw people I knew or wanted to meet there like Bob The Teacher, Gina Gaudio-Graves and Alex Syseof. I met new folks like Shannon Cherry, Ron Davis, Susan and David Preston, The Storyteller lady Ronda Del Boccio, Milana Leskinshky and an incredible lady Stephanie Frank, along with a host of others. I listed just a few of the people but they were all very interesting to meet.

There were your obligatory speakers as well with some interesting presentations. I missed a good part of the speech from Yanik Silver, Lisa and Lucho Criselle, Joel Bauer and Mark Boersma, sorry guys and gals. But the other presentations I did listen to were very intriguing. Some conferences can be a pitchfest and I did find a few speakers like that but overall worth the time.

There were some hot seat discussions where people from the audience would present their business and have it evaluated by a panel as well as a million dollar business that wanted to get to the next level. Wow, pretty intense indeed. But I think they as well as everyone else learned some important tips that will improve their and our businesses.

Would I attend another conference like JV Alert, you bet I would. Whenever I got the opportunity to attend events like this let me tell you I would jump at the chance and you should too. Especially if you plan on or want to get into the Internet Marketing mix.

Just being able to see what actually happens is amazing enough but to be around these people makes you really want to get in this business. I even got some tips, thank you Stephanie and Bob, that I think will help me generate some additional ideas for my business.

Ken usually has a JV Alert event in February if Florida. Now if there was ever a reason to attend, an event in Florida in the winter time could push you over the edge. I hope to be able to attend that next event wherever it might be because recovering from an awesome experience at JV Alert is not bad. Hope to see you at an Internet Marketing event in the near future. You will be glad you did.

WordPress Made Easy By Mike Paetzold Has Been Re- Launched

As you become more familiar with Internet Marketing there will come a time when you will want to put up a website. That way you can advertise you. by that I mean you can tell everyone hey, here I am. So if you want to put content on your site, videos or the such you will have a place to show off you.

But, many people will struggle to do that. For some putting up a website is not much of a problem. They can just whip it up in a couple of hours. That can be great if you know HTML, PHP and all of the other things that go into the making of a website. No, I am not trying to scare you.

It really doesn’t have to be so hard. There are some easier ways. One of the easiest is to set up a Blogger blog. Blogger is owned by Google and they have it set up so easy for you. You can go to Blogger.com and pick out a template, add on some widgets and get going real fast. You can just get on with blogging. One of the big things though, yes there is a though just like a but, is that blog is not really yours.

You can be going along just great, writing content, telling people what’s happening and just sharing all kinds of information. And then you post something real innocently not thinking anything of it and come back to your site and Google has taken it down for something they did not like.

Yeah you say but that is one of those rare instances. And rightly so it may be but I have seen people who thought they were doing everything right and for no reason that they can think of their blog was gone. How would you feel about that?

I would personally recommend a WordPress blog. I do not mean a wordpress.com blog. That is still not your own. I mean you can go and get yourself a domain name, which is like a home address. Then you can get a hosting company, kind of like the an apartment for your address and they will host your blog. And within the cpanel, one of the backrooms of your apartment, you will find a site with a big smilie face called Fantastico.

Now Fantastico is really great for a newbie or inexperienced marketer. It is quick and easy and can usually be accomplished with about 3-4 clicks. Notice I said for new or inexperienced marketers. That is because more seasoned marketers would prefer to do all this themselves. Still using WordPress they will manually set up their blogs. Gives them a little more added control over their blogs.

Thirty Day Challenge 2009 Preseason About To Begin

Did you know that the Thirty Day Challenge 2009 preseason is about to begin. That’s right the “Thirty Day Challenge“. What’s that you might ask. Well. it could be your chance to learn how to get started on the internet with an online business. And the best part there is little or no cost to join.

I know, I know, you have heard that term about there being no cost. Then once you sign up and get inside you discover there are all kinds of cost that were not mentioned when you started. I can assure that that is not the case here.

The Thirty Day Challenge is the brainchild of Ed Dale and Dan Raines and there cast of characters. Call it their way of giving back. They certainly don’t need to do this but they are giving of their time and energy to teach new and more experienced people who need help how to start making money online.
