Are You Ready For Some Football/ Halftime Sales II

Well, here we are again. Another great football season has come to an end. And whether your team had a good year or not so good ( Go Chargers), it now time for that last big game. Are you ready for some football.

I know, there is still the dreaded All-Star game. Can we just say, we don’t care. I mean this is not a real game. Ever see anybody get carried out on a stretcher? Let the season come to a peaceful end.

I am sure it will be a decent game. And for all of you thinking that the Steelers will just blow out the Cardinals, need I remind you of just last year. Was that the undefeated Patriots? Oh, that’s right, they lost the last game. ( Go Chargers)

Now I bet you are wondering how this ties in to Internet Marketing. Well, my friend Bob Jenkins, aka Bob The Teacher, yes he really was a school teacher, is having his Halftime Sale II.

Do You Really Need That Next Big Product? Part 2

Yesterday I started talking about product launches and how we needed to step back and take another look before we buy.

I am not against product launches or product producers. I give them credit. I wish I had had the idea to come up with the product. They have obviously identified a market with a problem and have come up with a solution.

I only ask this question because I have to ask myself before I consider if I am ready to buy the next big thing. I have been in your shoes, wanting to buy everything that comes out. Sometimes I did but lately…

That is good if you just like to be out front in purchasing everything that comes out. Maybe you just like to collect things. Or better yet maybe you just have deep pockets and it’s okay if you spend money as things come out.

My new approach is to pick out a new product I like, maybe even the bonuses might be good. I want to study it thoroughly and give it a try. I want to use it, hopefully make some money and then when the next big item comes out I will have some profits to spend on it.

Now, I am not saying that this will work for everyone or work every time. There comes a point when you see something that you want and nothing is going to stop you from getting it.

But, if we just think about it a little we may be able to make use of the prior product that we bought or at least evaluate just what is our plan for what we want to do.

But, this is not a bash at the Big Product Launchers. I think they are coming out with excellent products to help us all. But, for those of us not making all the big bucks yet, let’s be prudent. Lets get what we need, not what we want.

We want the big guys to sit up and take notice of us. Do you really need that next big product? Because one day we they may want to JV with us and want access to our big list. Maybe we might be their competition.

Wow, That would be a turn of events. But, maybe they will just be proud of us. Yes proud because they gave us the tools to make it and we did.

Do You Really Need That Next Big Product?

It has started again. The next big wave of the “Product Launches” has hit us. Do you really need that next big product?

You know, that next big thing that will make us instant cash. That will solve all of our problems. Pull us out of debt with a single blow.

I really enjoy these product launches. They are a great tool to get a front row seat to the ways of the Internet Marketer. The sales letters are all so persuasive. And some have that ability to make you want to pull out that wallet or purse and just pull out that credit card and BUY, BUY, BUY!

The great majority of these products are all very good and they could probably help a great many of us. But let’s step back from the computer a minute.

Let’s walk over to the mirror and take a look at ourselves. Now we can ask a question. The last great money maker that we bought, what did we do with it? Did we even open it and read through it? Did we try it and give it a chance to work for us? Or is it just sitting around gathering dust on you hard drive as you go to the next big thing?

And when I say give it a chance to work I do not mean a couple of days. With most of these products you need to give it a little time to work. You have to read through it and try and implement some of the action steps. Most do not just work overnight. For most it is over time.

Now if you have tried this and it did not seem to work did you go through the forums and ask questions of the members. Maybe there was something that you did that someone else did also and just maybe they found a way for it to work. Those forums are a rich source of information and should be given a chance.

There is also the help desk and even contacting the owner of the product. They may personally get involved in helping you with a problem you may have.

You Can Be Out Front Of The Newbie Invasion

In my last post I talked about how you could become the authority for the Newbie Invasion. And how there would be a lot of new people looking for their fortune online.

There are a lot of ways you can provide help for them. One would be by providing good information.

One of the easiest ways for that to occur is by providing good products for them to buy and use. This could actually speed up their learning curve. We all know one of the toughest things to do is creating useable products.

But, the question for them will be, where can I find these useful products. Well the answer to that question can come in the form of article writing, write an e-book, make a video or audio or make some software.

All of these will provide the needed products to help someone get online. Now this can and will be a lot of work and they may not have the time. Maybe they do not even want to go this route because it is to hard.

Okay you know where I am going with this, Private Label Rights (PLR). This will speed up the potential growth of that new Internet Marketing entrepeneur. It will also allow you to show that Newbie how they can establish themselves as an authority in any given niche.

Once they discover PLR and the different ways it can be applied, they will be amazed.

- Writing PLR articles for article directories or content for their website or blog.

- Provide their readers with a PLR e-book with their name on it can be invaluable.

- PLR videos and PLR audios are fast becoming industry standards and they could be out front with that.

- To be able to put their name on some PLR software could be an amazing feat for them.

Remember, you could put yourself out there as well by doing some or all of the same things. And if you can show them how easy it is will lend to your credibility as well. They could be sending their friends or potential clients to you.

Are You Ready For The Newbie Invasion?

Are you ready for the Newbie invasion? What is that you might ask. Well, it could be the next wave of potential competition or customers in your online business.

The US economy has caused major upheaval in jobs and finances for a number of hard working workers. Big companies have taken the drastic steps of either laying off workers or in some instances completely closing down companies. Circuit City just recently.

What are these people going to do? Where can they go? Not many places right now. If you don’t have the right skills you could be left looking for work and it may take a while. I have noticed even my company is cutting back. So, I would say that we are all affected in one way or another.

I was speaking to a marketing friend just the other day. He was telling me about some statistics he had seen where Internet Marketing (IM) will increase by $140 billion, yes billion, this year. I found that hard to believe but it will increase by a significant amount. Of that I am sure.

I actually read an article showing there will be more Newbies entering the IM field. With the number of workers looking for somewhere to earn money some have heard that the IM field is ripe.

They probably know someone who knows someone that has started in the field and who may be supplementing their income on the side or have gone full-time. You know that term if they can do it it must be easy…

Now we know that it is not easy. Of course there are that lucky few that jump in and make their fortune. But the majority of us have to work and really hard to make this work. Oh yeah, they will find out…

But, I had a thought. What a golden opportunity this could be. Who do you think will be showing these Newbies how to get up and running online?

Yes, a good number of them will come in not knowing anything and some will obviously follow some Guru they may have heard of, pay them big money and will get discouraged because it is not as easy as they thought. But, that is where you can come in to fill that void.

why you you may ask. Well, how did you learn about the online marketing game?

- Who taught you and what did you learn?

- What were some of the pitfalls you encountered along the way?

- What was the one thing that clicked to let you know you were going in the right direction?

Do you see what I mean? You actually have more knowledge than you thought you did. This could be your chance to become maybe not a guru but maybe a trusted source of information. It would almost be like mentoring.

And I do not mean any deceptive practices. I mean an honest attempt to if not help point someone in the right direction to get the help they need.

Now I hear you all out there going “but it will take something away from me”. Okay I think that pie is big enough that we can all share a little. I know when I eat to much I get fat and that is not a good thing for me.

Who knows you might develop a following. And if they like the information you are sharing they could recommend you to someone else and then they could …, you get the picture.

So, whether you like it or not the Newbies are coming. Are you going to gripe about how they are taking to much of the pie or are you going to get out ahead of them and maybe show them the right things that are good about Internet Marketing. I will let you decide but I think I want to be out front.

Was 2008 As Good For You As It Was…

Here we are about to complete the first week of the new year. We as Internet Marketers have set our sights ahead for the coming year. Plans are in place, blueprints have been put in place and we are ready to go.

But, I have one last lingering question for you? Did you do as well as you wanted last year with your online business? Did you meet all of your goals and can say without a doubt that it was a good year.

I would say for the most part most of you did. You are pumped up and full of life just waiting to take on the world for this year.

I would like to say that I am one of them. I did make some progress, learned to do websites, got a better understanding of Adsense, got a few blogs set up and even started masterminding with a good group of fellow marketers who I have learned a lot from. Even made some money.

But there could have been more. I wanted to set myself up to have an online business where I could work from home. It is coming but it is not quite there yet.

I wanted to show some new marketers how to set up their online business but I feel like I need to learn more. I have shown them a few things but there is so much more!

You see there are a whole lot more things I think we can all look at to see if we “left some money and ideas on the table”.

Now I don’t think the big guys, the so-called marketing guru’s, will concern themselves with this. If there was something that they feel was not done properly they will work to improve that part of their business.

But what about you and I. I think we need to sit and evaluate what we did right and what we did wrong last year. Maybe write it all down and compare what we did and what we wanted to do.

Then let’s write out plan as to how we want to improve on the bad and the good. Yes, even the good. There must have been things we did right that we can improve on.

And the bad things well that, we really want to look at. Were our expectations to high, did we not put the full effort into it and how do we fix it? There are probably more things to add but you get the point.

These are just a few things I have thought about looking back on 2008. Now I want you to do a thorough job in researching this but do not want to forget to look forward and remember we have a new year to implement these and other changes to make this year, 2009, bigger and better.

Is There A Cure For That Ailment?

Have you ever gotten a pain or an illness and you did not know how to take care of it?

Ever gotten a tooth you could feel just wasn’t feeling right but you didn’t know what to do?

You knew that either of these could probably be easily fixed if you just went to see the right person, doctor or dentist.

But, you didn’t want to spend the money so you tried to fix it yourself. You fiddled around trying this cure and that but nothing would work. You even told a few friends or co-workers and of course they had the remedy.

But, it did not work. Nothing seemed to work. You knew what you had to do but you just didn’t want to right then.

You could take some articles and set up a website, re-write them and use it for content or re-write and publish them in an article directory. You could take an eBook, change the name to your own, and sell it or giveaway with you being the author. You could even get some software and change it up a bit and make it your own.

The possibilities are endless. But first you have got to go see that doctor or dentist to let them take care of your problem.

Let 2009 Be Your Year To Succeed

Two days into the New Year and I ask you, do you have your plan in place for 2009. This is critical for your success that you get started right now in planning.

What are your goals for 2009? One of mine is to improve my business and move forward with the new year. Your goals do not have to be huge but at least make them so it is not something that you can achieve easily.

I do not mean to make it so hard that it cannot be done, but make it something that you will have to work for.

After you have set these goals then how are you going to achieve them? For my business to improve there are a few things that I have to do. I need to improve my blog, blog postings and improve my list building skills.

Believe me there is lots more work to do but you get the idea. It can be a step by step plan and that way you can check them off as you go along.

How will you accomplish the plan? For my list building, I need plan to participate in more giveaways which means I need to get some products ready to giveaway. This can be material you create, use Private Label Rights (PLR) products or have someone create it for you.

It could be in the form of software, eBooks or a special report. There probably are other ways I have not mentioned.

Set up an autoresponder and load it with messages, create a squeeze page to get sign ups and upload it to your website. Two of the more popular ones are Aweber and Get Response. Then advertise, in a forum, write articles or an ezine. Just get the word out for people to see your name and site.

For my blog I need to post on a regular basis. I would like to post 3-4 times a week. Is that a lot, maybe for some but I have seen blogs where the postings happen about everyday.

It might mean that you have to sit one day and write up those post ahead of time. But if you get in the habit it will come naturally to you.

You will probably think of a lot more goals and do a lot more planning than this but hopefully this has set your mind in motion about what you can do to get started.

Check your inbox I am sure you will see that all of the big and small Internet Marketers are working on or have in place their planning and goals for 2009. Let’s join them and make this a really good year.
